Established in 1964 by diplomats for diplomats, the London Diplomatic Association (LDA) provides members with an opportunity to gain a deeper insight into Britain’s political, economic and social affairs, extending their contacts and broadening their professional experience.
In July 1999, in an historical development, the LDA officially appointed Executive Gold Club (Holdings), now G.D.A. (Holdings), as their management company. The aim of G.D.A. (Holdings) is to create a conducive environment where diplomats can interact with each other in the UK and globally and where businesses can develop their relationships, promoting their products and services through G.D.A. (Holdings) to the diplomatic community worldwide.
Membership of the Association is open to all foreign and Commonwealth civilian diplomats including the rank of Head of Mission and to members of the Consular Corps who are accredited diplomats. Members' spouses and some Foreign and Commonwealth Office personnel may become honorary members.
All Ambassadors and High Commissioners are granted an honorary V.I.P. membership.
