Stuart Maclean

With a distinguished career in finance and business transformation spanning over 25 years, Stuart Maclean is proud to bring his wealth of expertise to the London Diplomatic Association (LDA).

Stuart is Chief Financial Officer for Brother UK, and since 2019 has also held roles in the Brother International Europe Head Office – European Head of Finance Shared Services and has led on European wide business transformation projects for the Brother Group covering finance, commercial and process transformation

A fundamental part of Stuart’s roles has also been to create, motivate and lead kinetic European teams to help deliver on such strategic objectives, and has recruited and developed new talented individuals, supporting them on their journeys to effective leadership.

Prior to joining Brother UK, Stuart worked in finance in the insurance, engineering and construction industries, and has a great deal of experience working in finance shared service centres.

For the past 7 years Stuart has also volunteered as a business mentor for new business start-ups in the North West, offering his time and insight to help new business owners navigate their first year of running and managing a business.
